Our Advantage
Over the past two decades, CG Analysts has focussed on vertically integrating its business, allowing it to control all primary aspects including origination, medical and actuarial underwriting, due diligence and software development.
Having originally provided services and solutions to third-party institutions, CG Analysts’ main focus is now its own Luxembourg-based investment subsidiaries. Well established relationships across the U.S. domestic life settlement market and with active investors in the asset class around the globe give CG Analysts a broad reach to all areas of the market.

Having been an active participant in the life settlement market from its early days, CG Analysts has established relationships with the majority of actors in both the ‘secondary’ (original owner to investor) and ‘tertiary’ (investor to investor) markets, thereby allowing us a wide field from which to source policies and portfolios.
Our experience, gained from the analysis of thousands of policies issued by a wide range of US carriers, allows us to maximise potential premium savings and hidden benefits including those within shadow accounts.
Significant experience within the sector, including in-house analysis of the accuracy of life expectancy predictions, allows us to provide sound, evidence-backed valuations of individual life settlement policies or entire portfolios.
Valuation is just one part of the analysis process. CG Analysts’ services also include due diligence, origination, exposure limit, credit / portfolio / life impairment reviews, market intelligence etc.
CG Analysts will work with you to model and structure your portfolio in accordance with your investment requirements.
Whilst CG Analysts cannot provide legal or tax advice, we can provide expertise gained through experience on efficient vehicle structuring. Due to the unique nature of life settlements, it is vital that all parties (such as custodians, securities intermediaries, escrow agents, servicers, tracking agents etc.) have expertise in the sector. CG Analysts can also facilitate introductions to all relevant parties including specialist legal and tax practitioners if required.
As legislation or best practices evolve, it is sometimes necessary to review and restructure existing vehicles and portfolios. Unfortunately, it is also the case that some investment vehicles or portfolios underperform or do not meet investor requirements.
CG Analysts can be retained by fund managers, board members or investor committees to carry out an impartial review and to report on and, where possible, provide solutions to any issues that may be identified.
Restructuring may range from a partial disposal of underperforming policies to a wholesale change in valuation methodology, vehicle structure or management approach.
Whatever the need, CG Analysts will provide a detailed report outlining what the issues are, why they are relevant, the suggested route(s) to addressing the issues and the likely outcome. Where a more wholesale change is required, CG Analysts work with clients to agree and implement a course of action. This may include the introduction of specialist service providers where appropriate.
